Forklift Certification Class and Weekly Hours

Last week a few of us in class attended a forklift certification put on by the Ives training group. We learned proper handling and driving of all types of forklifts and attachments.I have wanted to be certified for a long time and was fortunate enough to get it from a good company

Motor board 145 through 149

Here is the last motor boards tested with the multi meter number 145 through 149. I definitely learned how to use the meter and diagnose basic voltage drops shorts and open circuits with this tool. We tried to figure out a issue we were having with the upcoming circuit test by making a small demonstration with a flasher.

Direct-Acting Solenoid Check Valve Animation

Here's the simplest way i can explain how a check valve works.Watch the switch close the circuit and operate the valve. I learned how pressure will activate the check valve in the system here.

Circuit boards 78 through 144 with weekly hours

Been working daily with the trusty Fluke multi-meter to determine faults in boards.
The most important thing I have learned is, no current flow no voltage drop, that applies to all these boards.
Basically I've learned a lot about shorts,h/r v/d's and open circuits.

What is a diode?

This is the video I think best describes a diode. It's simple way of explaining it helped me understand how they work. I learned that there are different sizes of diodes. And simply put its a one way valve for electricity.

Autoshop 101 Electrical Fundamentals Self Test

This was a small test that was about electrical current and flow. I got a few wrong but it let me see the correct answer so i was able to learn from my mistakes .

Circut Panels 1 through 77

There was lots of diagnosis that had to be done to get all these but i figured out how to use a light to find shorts and a multi meter to find open and h/r v/d ( high resistance voltage drop) panels. I thought this was going to be a lot harder than it was and i think i'm getting the hand of it .

First day class assessment and circut panels 8 & 32

Basically was a questionnaire about where we stand in the class with what skill and knowledge we have so far .

Such as do we understand how to :

Read and interpret, electrical/electronic circuits using wiring diagrams.
Check applied voltages, circuit voltages, and voltage drops in electrical/electronic circuits using appropriate test equipment.
Check current flow in electrical/electronic circuits and components using digital multimeter or other appropriate test equipment.
Check resistance in electrical/electronic circuits and components using appropriate test equipment.
Inspect and test fusible links, circuit breakers, relays, solenoids, and fuses; replace as needed.

As well as others

We checked circuit boards for faults and voltage draws
Learned how to use a multi meter and rule ot possibilities of where the draw comes from on different boards.I liked learning how to use this tool i know it will come in handy in my trade.
