This week I changed a couple tires on the deer tractor we use for silage packing. Also this week I ended up going to a interview at the bus garage for the Nooksack school district and think I'll be getting that job. I also applied for the Ferndale school district bus garage.

This week I did a ton of field work and had a interview at the Nooksack bus garage for a maintaince job. In school I did the alignment with the laser and the string.

This week I spent days getting every piece of equipment we use greased up. I had to find every zerk on all of these tractors and implements. In school I got checked off on my wheel ends and am looking forward to graduating in a couple weeks

This week I ended up changing oil on 5 tractors and had to replace the radiator on the combine because someone forgot to blow the dirt and dust from the fan. I learned that if you clean the field dirt out of the fan you will not have a overheating problem with your equipment.

This week I ended up working on the bed of a silage truck we use daily. I had to cut some old steel plates off the rotating floor and replace them with new ones. It took me a few days to get it done because some of the floor plates were rusted.

This week we went over air brakes I learned how the system works . I finished my wheel ends and at work just was swamped with maintaince and field work.

This week I've been swamped at work doing field work In numerous different tractors. I ended up changing the oil and transmission fluid on 3 silage trucks. In school I have done 13 wheel ends including front drive and trailers.

In class we finished all the electric boards and started on axels and brakes. This week I only got one of the axels completed including removing the brakes,s-cam,bearings and reassembled the whole thing.I learned that with the right tools the job is a ton easier. At work I helped clean the engines on all the tractors after getting all the fields prepped they were filthy.

This week I went to Oregon with my boss and crew and helped his brother get his thousand acres ready to plant. I worked 80 hours in 5 days. I was in charge of the preventative maintaince every morning. We had no equipment issues cause I kept a close eye on everything..

This week I changed a radiator on a John Deer combine it weighted 400 lbs we had to use the crane to lift it into the rear of the machine. Were also getting ready for the fields so it took all week doing preventative maintaince to get all the equipment ready for the fields. I greased all the discs and plows even had to weld one of the disc's back into place that was fun.I learned that if I do a good job at the end of summer before I put them way I won't have to do much when we need to use them again. In class I did all the electric boards again they were pretty simple I helped the first year guys get them down really easy..

This week my last quarter started with electrical. At work I changed the starter and radiator on a International silage truck. I also changed 2 tires on the Deer tractor..

This week I just did a bunch of preventative maintenance on some equipment around the farm getting geared up for next month's field work. Lots of greasing zerks on the discs and plows we use. Changed one of the bearings on the disc blade. I also changed the oil on 4 tractors and 2 silage dump trucks.

This week I spent the whole week with a torch cutting 2 old milk tanks into pieces to send to scrap. I learned if you cut the pieces small enough you won't need a forklift to load them on the trailer.

Pretty slow week just did a bunch of preventative maintenance on some tractors oil changes and coolant flushes. Also I changed 2 tires on the silage truck and installed a new cb radio system in it. I learned that changing tires by hand without a machine never gets easy.

This week I rewired a hay trailer it took me all week to run new wiring and redo the lights with new ones. I learned that if you take your time and measure right you will have enough wiring. I ended up having to rerun the negative because I was a foot short lesson learned.

This week I changed two tires on a silage truck. Also I changed the starter on the same truck. I cut up a old plow with a cutting torch for recycle that was fun I learned that if you take your time you will make better cuts and it'll come apart easier. I also learned that steel stays hot for a long time and burns skin easily.

This week I learned how to change out a radiator and water pump on a John deer tractor by myself and the power of the Internet. .I also had to change out the power steering pump on one of the silage trucks on the farm .I learned that if you take your time you can do the job properly and the repair will last. .

This week I cut apart a disc implement for recycling with a torch it took me 4 days to get it into small enough pieces. Also I changed the oil on a older Kenworth silage dump truck. I learned you need to go slow with the torch to get good cuts.

This week I learned how to rewire the wiring on a horse trailer. I changed the light housings and installed a extra set of lights on the top. I changed out all the wiring and the 7pt plug that supplies the power..

This week I went and had my appointment at the trucking school in skagit. I think ill be going for the night classes starting in a couple weeks. I changed a hydraulic line on a bucket on a John Deer tractor I also changed two huge tires on the same tractor.
