How a thermostat works

A thermostat works in line with a relay wired up. Once you figure out how the wiring goes with the diagram we were given it was pretty easy. After you get it hooked up to a fluke meter with a heat gun on the unit the heat goes up while the volts and resistance drops.

Engine Basics ans Engine Systems Test A

I took these two tests with great results .I learned how gasoline and diesel engines work, oil and fuel systems, engine parts, exhaust systems, and coolant systems.

Engines Test B System Test and Maintance

Kenworth facility

40 week
136 month
I visited the Kenworth factory and learned how the engines are built .The thing I though was the most impressive was the way they keep all the parts coming into the facility from different parts of the building right to where they are going to be used so they don't have to haul them around everywhere. Also I was very impressed with the way these trucks are built from the frame up by hand here with not much computer assistance .I thought the rivet that holds the body and cab together was a cool design and it makes sense how these are the strongest trucks on the road. Also this week I got my 3516 completely taken down and measured.

Detroit 60 series tear down, measure, and rebuild with pictures and information with hours

40 week
96 month

Here's a tear down, internal measure, and rebuild of a Detroit 60 series. We tore this engine down and did complete measurements of this engine as a team. I learned a lot about engines from doing this as a team with a couple guys from second year in my group.I never tore a engine down measured much of engine or put a engine together from the block up until this engine.I learned how to use a inside micrometer a digital micrometer and a manual micrometer to do all the measurements. I took a ton of pictures of the whole process i will show you I hope you enjoy this as much as i did.
